Ingrients & Directions


1 c Flour
1 c Sugar
1/2 c Crisco shortening
1 Egg
1 tb Molasses
1 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla
3/4 ts Baking soda
1 c Oatmeal
1 c Chocolate chips

Combine all ingredients. Bake at 350?F for approximately 8-10 minutes. Do
not overcook. Marilyn allows for exactly 9 minutes in her oven. Make
certain that you check at 8 minutes. They will look almost undercooked.
Remove from oven when they are just turning tan on top, yet still soft.
Yields 4 dozen.
