1 1/2 c Sifted confectioner’s sugar
1 c Butter
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla
1/2 ts Almond extract
2 1/2 c Flour
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Cream of tartar

These are the BEST sugar cookies I have ever found or tasted. However,
they do not taste quite the same as the type you typically find in grocery
stores or at cookie shops, so be forewarned. They also require cookie
cutters, so be prepared. They are wonderful to make for holidays, as you
can cut and decorate appropriately!

Mix sugar and butter. Mix in egg and flavorings. Blend dry ingredients,
then stir in. Refrigerate 2-3 hours. Roll out to reasonnable thickness
(sorry, I just eyeball it), cut, and bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet
at 375 for 7-8 minutes. (Makes about 5 dozen.)
