Ingrients & Directions


–CAKE–
2/3 c Butter Or Margarine
1 2/3 c Sugar
3 md Eggs
1 1/4 c Bananas; mashed
2 1/4 c Flour
1 1/4 ts Baking Powder
1 1/4 ts Baking Soda
1 ts Salt
2/3 c Buttermilk
2/3 c Chopped Nuts
—Brown Sugar Frosting—
1 c Brown Sugar; packed
1/2 c Butter Or Margarine; melted
1/4 c Milk
3 c Powdered Sugar; sifted

CAKE: Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; blend in eggs and
bananas. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add buttermilk
and flour mixture alternately to butter mixture, mixing well after each
addition. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased and floured 13×9 baking pan or
dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until cake tester inserted
in center comes out clean. Cool and frost with Brown Sugar Frosting.

FROSTING: Combine brown sugar, butter and milk in saucepan; bring to a
boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; cool 10 minutes. Gradually add
powdered sugar, beating until well blended.
