1 pk 2-layer-size yellow cake
-mix. You can use white also
1/4 c Margarine or butter;
-softened
1 Beaten egg
3 Eggs
1 c Light corn syrup (you can
-use dark, if you like)
1 1/2 c Packed brown sugar
1 ts Vanilla
1 c Chopped pecans

Set aside 2/3 cup of the cake mix. Combine remaining cake ix, margarine or
butter and beaten egg Stir by hand till mixture is crumbly. Press the
mixture evenly over bottom and 1 inch up the sides of an ungreased
13x9x2-inch pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, for filling, combine the 3 eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar and
vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Add the reserved cake mix. Stir mixture by
hand till thoroughly combined. Spread filling evenly over the previously
baked crust, and sprinkle with chopped pecans. Bake in a 350 degree oven
for 30 to 35 minutes or till filling is set. Cool completely. Makes 48
bars. If you like larger bars it will make 32 bars.

These are so good. It is like eating pecan pies with your fingers.
