2 1/4 c Sugar
1 c Unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 c Cornstarch
1 tb Baking powder
1 ts Baking soda
1 1/2 ts Salt
Sift together all
-ingredients. Store in

2 Egg whites, lightly beaten
1/4 c Corn syrup
1 tb Water
1 ts Vanilla
2 1/2 c Basic Baking Mix (recipe
-above)
1/4 c Sugar

~=Basic Baking Mix Use this premeasured mix to prepare chocolate
cookies, brownies or a cake. Makes 7 cups of mix.

Preheat oven to 350~. Coat cookie sheets with nonstick vegetable-oil
cooking spray.

Stir together egg whites, corn syrup, water and vanilla in
medium-sized bowl. Stir in baking mix until well blended. Roll dough
into 1-inch balls. Spread sugar on small flat plate. Place 2 inches
apart on cookie sheets. Press balls flat with bottom of glass.

Bake in preheated 350~ oven for 6-8 minutes. Cool cookies on baking
sheet on wire rack for 5 minutes. Remove cookies from sheet to rack
to cool completely.

Per cookie: 61 calories, 1 g protein, .18 g fat, 14 g carbohydrate,
72 mg sodium, 0 mg cholesterol.

Exhanges: 1/2 starch/bread, 1/2 fruit.

~=Dusted Chocolate Sandwich Cookies Sandwich 2 cookies together with
1 Tbsp marshmallow creme. Dust
