1/2 c Shortening 1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Sugar 1/2 ts Soda
1/2 c Molasses, light 1/2 ts Ginger, ground
1/2 tb Vinegar 1/2 ts Cinnamon, ground
1 Egg; beaten Chocolate, semisweet morsels
3 c Flour, all-purpose

Bring shortening,, sugar, molasses, and vinegar to a boil; cool. Add
beaten eggs. Combine flour, salt, soda, ginger, and cinnamon; add to
liquid mixture. Mix well and chill. Roll to 1/8″ thickness on
lightly floured board. Follow a pattern or use a cookie cutter ot
shape gingerbread boys. Use chocolate morsels for eyes, nose, mouth,
and buttons. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees
for 12 to 15 minutes.
