Ingrients & Directions


2 2/3 c Brown sugar
1 ts Salt
1 c Butter or margarine
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
3 1/2 c Flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Cinnamon

-GLAZE-
1 1/2 c Powdered sugar
1 Egg white; slightly beaten
1 tb Butter; melted
1/8 ts Salt
1/2 ts Vanilla
Food coloring & sprinkles

Cream sugar, salt & butter. Add eggs & vanilla & continue mixing until
fluffy. Add flour, baking powder, soda & cinnamon. Mix well & chill. Roll
dough out on lightly floured surface to 1/8-inch thick. Cut into shapes
with cookie cutter & bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Cool & ice. Top with
decorative sprinkles, if desired. (Great for Christmas, Valentine or
Halloween!) Glaze: Blend sugar with egg white & add butter, salt & vanilla.
Beat until smooth. Add a few drops of food coloring of your choice.
