Ingrients & Directions


1 pk Active dry yeast 1 2/3 c All-purpose flour
1 1/2 c All-purpose flour 1 t Ground cinnamon
1 1/2 c Sugar 1/2 t Salt
1 c Cooking oil 1/2 t Baking soda
1 ea Egg 1/2 t Ground nutmeg
2 ea Egg whites 1/2 c Walnuts
1/2 c Molasses 1/2 c Finely chopped raisins

In a large mixing bowl soften yeast in 1 cup warm water(105 to 115);
stir in the 1-1/2 cups flour till smooth. Cover and let stand in a
warm place for 30 minutes. In a large mixing bowl mix together sugar
and oil. Add egg and egg whites. Beat with an electric mixer on low
speed till combine. Add molasses and yeast mixture; beat on low till
combined. Stir together the 1-2/3 cups flour, cinnamon, salt, soda,
and nutmeg; stir into yeast mixture. Stir in nuts and raisins. Turn
into a greased and floured 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Let stand,
covered in a warm place for 1 hour. Bake in a 350 oven for 40 minutes
or till toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool.
