1 c Granulated white sugar
1/2 c Shortening (half butter;
-half Crisco)
2 Ripened bananas (bananas
-should feel slightly
-squishy)
1 ts Vanilla
1 ts Salt
2 c Sifted all purpose flour
1 ts Baking soda
1 c Chopped walnuts

1. Cream the first five ingredients in mixer.

2. Add flour and baking soda to creamed mixture. (nuts are also added if
desired)

3. Pour dough in greased loaf tin.

4. Bake at 350’F for 45-60 minutes. Yield 1 loaf. Sent from the Washington
