1 1/2 c Flour
1/2 c Sugar
2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
3 tb Shortening
1 Egg, beaten
1/2 c Milk
Melted butter
-STREUSEL CRUMBS-
2 tb Butter
2 tb Sugar
1/4 c Flour
1/4 c Dry cake crumbs
1/2 ts Cinnamon
Sift together the dry ingredients. Work shortening in with fingertips
or two knives. Stir in egg and milk; press lightly into greased cake
pan. Pour melted butter over top, sprinkle with streusel crumbs and
bake in a 400 degree oven for about half an hour. Cut into wedges and
serve warm. Have the coffee all ready
Streusel Crumbs: Cream butter and sugar; add flour, finely ground cake
crumbs (you can use bread crumbs if you don’t have any cake crumbs.)
and cinnamon. Mix till crumbly and sprinkle on top of dough.
