Ingrients & Directions

3 c Flour
6 tb Cocoa; (3/8 cup) Let me know
-how you measure 3/8 of a
-cup
2 c Sugar
2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
10 tb Vinegar
2 tb Vanilla
2 1/2 c Water
4 oz Unsweetened chocolate
L/2 cup butter
4 c Tiny marshmallows
3 c Confectioners sugar; (up to
-3-1/2)
1 c Nuts
2 ts Vanilla

This recipe is from the “Bach’s Lunch” cookbook that I bought from Arlene
when she collected some used cook books. For those of you who know me at
all will not be surprised at the name of the cake because I fit right in
there with it.

Sift first five ingredients into a 9″ x 13″ cake pan. Mix next three
ingredients together and add to pan. Pour 2 cups water into pan and stir
until well blended. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes.

To prepare frosting: combine chocolate, l/2 cup water, butter and 2-1/2
cups marshmallows. Stir over low heat until well blended. Cool slightly.
Add sugar gradually and beat with wooden spoon until smooth. Add remaining
marshmallows, nuts and vanilla. Frost cake right in the pan.
