Ingrients & Directions


2 c Sifted all purpose flour 1/2 c Shortening
4 t Baking powder 3/4 c 7-up (soda pop)
1/2 t Salt

Sift flour, baking soda and salt in bowl. Cut in shortening until
mixture is coarse and crumbly. Add 7-up and stir with a fork only
until moistened. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and
knead 8-10 times. Roll out to 3/4 inch thickness. let rest a few
minutes. Cut into shapes and arrange on ungreased baking sheet. Bake
at 450F for 10-12 minutesor until golden brown. Makes 12 biscuits.
