Ingrients & Directions


1 Baked 8″ pie shell
1/4 c Cold water
2 Egg yolks
1/2 c Granulated sugar
1/2 c Brown sugar, packed
1/4 c All-purpose flour
1/4 ts Salt
1 c Boiling water
1 tb Butter or
1/2 ts Vanilla extract
3 Or 4 ripe bananas
1/2 c Heavy cream

Early in day: In saucepan, mix cold water with egg yolks; stir in
combined sugars, flour, and salt. Gradually add boiling water,
stirring briskly. Cook, stirring, 3 to 5 min., or until smooth and
thick. Add butter and vanilla; cool 5 min., stirring occasionally.
Pour into baked pie shell. Refrigerate till serving time.

To serve: Slice bananas over filling. Whip cream; spread over all.
