Ingrients & Directions


1 c Margarine
1 c White sugar
1 c Brown sugar
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
2 c All purpose flour
1 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Baking powder
2 c Quick oatmeal; uncooked
1 pk (12-oz) chocolate chips
1 c Chopped nuts (optional)
1 c Raisins (optional)

Cream butter & sugars. Add eggs & vanilla. Mix. Combine baking soda, salt &
baking powder with flour. Add oatmeal. Stir dry ingredients into creamed
mixture until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in chips, raisins & nuts
by hand. Spread mixture in a 12×18-inch ungreased cookie pan or two
9×9-inch pans & bake at 350 for 20 minutes. (Do not overcook.) Cut into
bars while warm. Bakes 60 bars. (Really good, moist & chewy.)
