Ingrients & Directions


1 9″ pie shell
1 1/2 c Flour
1/2 c Shortening
4 tb Cold water; (up to 5)

FILLING
5 c Peeled and cubed Rambo or
-Granny Smith apples; (up to
-6)
5 tb Sugar
2 tb Cinnamon

-CRUMBS-
3/4 c Flour
1/3 c Sugar
6 tb Margarine

Blend flour and shortening with dough blender until crumbly. Add water and
mix just until a ball of dough is formed. Do not overwork dough. Place on
floured surface and roll. Place in 9″ pie plate and flute edges.

FILLING: Apples should be cut into pieces approximately 1″x1″. Place apples
in a plastic bag. Add sugar and cinnamon. Seal bag and shake until all
pieces are coated. Pour into pie shell.

CRUMBS: Blend all ingredients until crumbly and pour evenly over apples.
Bake at 375? for 45-55 minutes. Serves 6-8.
