2 c Doolsey 1 tb Baking Powder
4 Easters 1 c Cream
2 2/3 c Dumplin’ Dust 1 ts Lemon Extract
pn Salt

NOTE: Betty Sanders’ mother-in-law, Edna made a little cookbook over
30 years ago called BABL GORMS IN BOONT, or GOOD FOOD IN BOONVILLE.
Here’s a sample of the vocabulary she developed:

easter egg dumplin’ dust flour
charl milk rudy nebs water
boo potato zeese coffee
doolsey sugar price babcock sweet
cider doolsey boo sweet potato dreek
beat

* Preheat oven to 350 F.

1. Cream together the doolsey and easters until light and fluffy.

2. Sift thribs (3 times) dumplin’ dust, salt and baking powder. To
this mixture add cream and creamed mixture. Add lemon extract and
dreek 3 mins. Pour into 2 greased and dumplin’ dusted cake pans. Bake
for 25 to 30 mins. Cool on racks. Frost with your favorite frosting.
