Sharon’s Mother’s Sweet Potato Biscuits

Ingrients & Directions


2 c Hot boiled sweet potatoes;
-mashed
1/2 c Vegetable shortening
1 ts Salt
1 1/2 c White flour
1/4 c Granulated sugar
2 ts Baking powder

Combine sweet potatoes, shortening, and salt. Set aside to cool. When
cool, combine with other ingredients. (If the dough is too sticky to roll,
add more flour.) Roll dough on a floured board, and cut with a biscuit
cutter. Bake at 450F for 10-15 minutes.
