Pulla (scandinavian Sweet Bread)

Ingrients & Directions


-DOUGH-
1 c Milk
2 tb Butter
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla OR almond extract
1/4 c Sugar
1 ts Salt
1/2 ts Ground cardamom (up to 1)
3 c All-purpose flour
2 ts Rapid or quick yeast

–WASH–
1 Egg beaten with:
2 tb Milk OR cream

Remove dough from machine. Divide into 3 equal parts. Roll each piece into
a long rope. Braid ropes together. Place braid on lightly greased baking
pan. Cover and let rise for about 1-1/2 hours. Brush dough with EGG WASH
Bake in preheated 350 oven 25-30 minutes or until golden.
